The Chinese Ministry of Transport released the latest statistics on port throughput for the first half of 2024 on July 26th. Data shows that in the first half of this year, ports across the country completed a cargo throughput of 8.56 billion tons ; Completed a container throughput of 161.84 million TEUs, with Shanghai Port ranking first; Ningbo Zhoushan Port ranks second; Shenzhen Port ranks third.
It is worth noting that the gap between Shenzhen and Qingdao in the third and fourth place race is only 360000 TEUs, and Tianjin is only 780000 TEUs behind Guangzhou. The four major ports can be described as a fierce battle in the qualifying round!
